Spring weather is here in northern Colorado and Bullhide 4×4 wants to make sure your 4×4 and UTV’s are ready to go! Here are some things you should think about to prepare your vehicle for spring off-roading and trail riding:
1. Check A/C System
Be sure to test your air conditioning system to make sure everything is running smoothly. Add fresh coolant so your vehicle will be ready to endure the heat of the Colorado sun.
2. Tires
Now is the time to pack away your winter tires and put on your summer ones. If you aren’t changing your tires, make sure to rotate them and get your alignment checked. The friendly maintenance staff at Bullhide 4×4 can help get your vehicle ready for spring trail riding.
3. Safety bag
You can never be too careful! Make sure you have your first aid kit on hand, equipped with bandages, extra batteries/ charger, and a flashlight as well as sunscreen and plenty of water for the high temperatures and dry conditions of Colorado.
4. Winch working
You will want to make sure your winch is working properly to help you or others out of tricky situations. The folks at Bullhide 4×4 can inspect the winch to make sure the motor and various parts are fully functioning.
5. Straps
Tow straps are important to have on hand for off-roading adventures. Muddy terrain or large ditches can cause your vehicle to get stuck. You want to make sure your tow straps are in good condition to come to the rescue and pull you out.
6. Seat belts/ safety harnesses
Have you checked your seat belts and safety harnesses? These items wear out over time and loosen up season after season. Make sure they are tightened up and ready to go. If you are looking for new seat belts and harnesses, stop by Bullhide 4×4 to see what we have in stock.
