Welcome to the Bullhide 4x4 website! We are happy you are visiting us and hope that
you find what you need here. There are lots of cool things to look at and a great
deal of information for you. Whether it is accessories, services, or just to look
cool, we have it all. Check us out and feel free to contact us at any time to ask
questions.
So you know who we are and where we come from, we are Scott and Susan Butters, owners
of Bullhide 4x4 and we have called Fort Collins our home for a long time. Susan
and her family have been residents in the community since 1975 and Scott moved to
the area from Iowa in 1990. We met while both working for Susan’s family business,
married and now have two beautiful children, Trevor and Megan. Together, we started
the Bullhide Liner business in 1996 on the north end of Fort Collins.
The bed liner business grew over the years to include more of the full line of accessories.
A decision was made in 2003 to take a leap of faith and expand and relocate the
already successful Bullhide Liner business to the south end of Fort Collins which
would now provide a full line of accessories and services for any kind of automobile.
We were fortunate enough to have a great team of employees join us from the very
beginning and make it an easy transition. As easy this big of a transition can be!
The talent that we brought on board is some of the best in the industry with numerous
years of experience and the outlook of the new Bullhide 4x4 being successful was
great.
Over 10,000 trucks in Northern Colorado and surrounding areas have been sprayed
with the premium product of the Bullhide liner. Now it was time to provide the community
with a 4x4, accessory and service facility that could provide products and services
at an affordable cost to all kinds of customers. Bullhide Liner became Bullhide
4x4 with a new building and increased square footage and shop in the back for 3-4
technicians and installation techs. It was a huge change for us and for our customers
but one that was desperately needed in this area.
Our motivation to expand was to be able to provide our customers with personalized
customer service and a place they could trust that is build on high family values,
honesty, integrity, and great product lines and knowledge. All of us at Bullhide
4x4 have a desire to make any truck or automobile look and run great. And we love
to help get those 4x4 and rock crawlers to the top of the mountain too!
Our entire family feels very blessed to have built the Bullhide 4x4 business to
what it is today and we believe that all of our staff and customers are a piece
of that success. We look forward to many years in Fort Collins and lots of friendships
being built from the customers we meet each and every day.

Meet the Bullhide Staff
Scott Butters
Scott is the owner of Bullhide 4x4 along with his wife, Susan. Scott has been working
in the accessory and automotive industry for over 22 years. You will find him at
the shop daily, helping customers find exactly what they want or need and has a
hand’s on approach to business. Everyone on The Bullhide 4x4 team is responsible
for its success and reputation. Scott has two children, Trevor and Megan and he
loves to be involved with their activities when not at the shop. He also enjoys
hunting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, fishing, NASCAR, and traveling to those “fun
in the sun” spots around the world.
Ray Schleppy
Ray Schleppy is the Store Manager for Bullhide 4x4. He has worked in the 4WD industry
since 1983. He began he career in Denver and then came to Fort Collins in 1990.
Ray has been with Bullhide 4x4 since 2003 when the store expanded and the new location
was found. He was instrumental in making that change from the bed liner business
to what it is today.
Ray is married and has two children. He enjoys working on and around automobiles.
He learned the trade from his father at age 5 and never left it! He also enjoys
4-wheeling, hunting, fishing and most of all, time with his family.
Tom Niesent
Tom Niesent is a Fort Collins native and has been with the Bullhide 4x4 team for
the past three years. You will find Tom at the front counter or anywhere he is needed
while helping customers either with their truck or jeep or even maybe a golf cart
modification job! He has over 12 years of experience of building and modifying vehicles
on his own vehicles, as well as friends and family. Tom enjoys time outdoors hunting,
fishing, or participating in sports.
Traci Sigley
Traci Sigley has been with Bullhide 4x4 since the beginning of 2008. She has been
in the automotive industry for 19 years with many areas of expertise and extensive
knowledge to best help our customers. Traci is married to Tim with three wonderful
children Austin, Taylar, and Abbi. She loves scrapbooking, cooking and spending
time with her family. As a family they enjoy hockey (Austin plays for the Junior
Eagles), camping, 4 wheeling, bicycling and just about anything outdoors.
